If you’re a DM looking for an easy way to make Initiatives more visible for both you and your players, then maybe this fillable PDF can help!

This sheet is designed to create tents for your PCs and NPCs that you can organize at the top of your DM screen. You’ll be able to include info that’s visible on your side of the screen, including Character names, Class, AC, HP, PP, etc. As a default, I’ve included info suggestions such as height, weight, age, etc (I had campaigns that had traps triggered by weight, or traps that aged/de-aged players, or holes that might be too big or small for characters to crawl into). Feel free to use the text fields to insert whatever key info you need to remember, though!

By purchasing this item, you’ll receive a blank fillable PDF. Then all you’ll need to do is follow these simple instructions:

1. Open PDF in Acrobat (not Preview)
2. Find images of the monsters you need (online), save them onto your computer, then insert them into the built-in image place holders.
3. Type in the monster names (Optional)
4. Get some 8.5×11″ card stock paper
5. Print at 100% Scale
6. Cut along the dotted lines.
7. Fold each tent in half
8. Roll for initiative!

BONUS USAGE:

You might be able to use these for monsters, too, but I’ll be creating a separate sheet for those!

Technical Tips:

• Some images might fit better into the placeholders if they’re cropped before inserting. (1.5×1.15″ fits best)
• JPG and PNG images works best. Avoid webp files.
• If you are having trouble entering text or inserting images, make sure you have the PDF open in Acrobat.
